Oasis Home & Supply is a second venture of cinder + salt owner Rachel DeCavage. Rachel brings a deep passion for the planet, keen eye for design and 20 years of small business leadership to OHS.
"In 2017 we introduced sustainable living products into our c+s storefronts, but as the company evolved it didn't make sense to have dish soap and t-shirts share the same space. Oasis Home & Supply was born out of the need to streamline our product offerings at cinder + salt, while maintaining our commitment to all facets of sustainable living, not just your wardrobe.
"I think a lot about, what I call, "future garbage" such as paper towels. Hundreds of thousands of people are spending their hard-earned money, every day, on goods that are designed to be thrown away. I wanted to find solutions, for any budget, that can keep money in your wallet and keep waste out of the landfill.
"Many sustainable living stores are doing an excellent job in replacing toxic chemicals in cleaning supplies & personal care, but I'm worried about everything else too! Most everyday products we use are loaded with chemicals, including furniture, cookware & soft goods. I made it my mission to scout out products that we could feel good about having in contact with our food, our skin & our lives, in all the ways!
